Repair Terms & Warranty Policy
By booking or authorising a repair with MobileBitz, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
# Device Condition
Customers are responsible for ensuring devices are backed up prior to repair. MobileBitz is not responsible for any loss of data, files, accounts, passwords, or personal information during the repair process.
Devices presented for repair may already contain pre-existing issues including frame damage, liquid exposure, battery degradation, prior repair attempts, internal damage, or hidden faults that may not be immediately visible during initial inspection.
MobileBitz is not responsible for faults or issues unrelated to the original repair request.
# Water Resistance
Devices originally advertised as water resistant may lose water resistance after repair or disassembly.
While sealing adhesives may be applied during repair, MobileBitz does not guarantee water resistance or waterproof performance after any repair service.
Customers are advised to avoid liquid exposure after repair.
# Repair Warranty
MobileBitz provides a limited warranty covering the repaired component and workmanship only.
Warranty does not cover:

Accidental damage

Cracked screens after repair

Liquid damage
-
Physical impact damage
-
Frame damage
-
Pressure damage
-
Misuse or neglect
-
Unrelated component failures
-
Software issues not related to the repair
Warranty claims may require inspection before approval.
# Screen Repairs
Screen replacements restore functionality to damaged displays; however, devices with bent frames, prior damage, liquid exposure, or internal structural stress may remain vulnerable to future screen issues.
New impact damage, cracks, pressure marks, dead pixels caused after collection, or accidental damage are not covered under warranty.
Certain display technologies may vary slightly in colour tone, brightness, or fingerprint sensitivity depending on device model and part type.
# Parts Availability & Repair Timeframes
Repair turnaround times are estimates only and may vary depending on:

Additional faults discovered during repair
MobileBitz is not liable for delays outside reasonable control.
# Unclaimed Devices
Devices not collected within a reasonable period after repair completion notification may be subject to storage handling procedures.
# Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted under New Zealand law, MobileBitz shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from device failure, loss of use, data loss, or delays related to repair services.
Nothing in this policy limits customer rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act where applicable.
